Day 1

Arrival in Leh

Arrive in Leh, the capital of Ladakh, and spend the day acclimatizing to the high altitude. Rest and take it easy to allow your body to adjust.

Day 2

Explore Leh

Morning: Shanti Stupa Visit Shanti Stupa, a white-domed stupa with panoramic views of Leh. Late Morning: Leh Palace Explore Leh Palace, a historic royal palace offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and Leh city. Afternoon: Leh Market Wander through Leh Market, explore local shops, and try Ladakhi cuisine at a local restaurant. Evening: Tsemo Castle Visit Tsemo Castle and enjoy the sunset views.

Day 3

Monastery Circuit

Morning: Thiksey Monastery Head to Thiksey Monastery, known for its resemblance to the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet. Attend the morning prayer ceremony. Late Morning: Shey Palace Visit Shey Palace, which houses a giant gold-plated copper statue of Lord Buddha. Afternoon: Hemis Monastery Drive to Hemis Monastery, the largest and wealthiest monastery in Ladakh. Explore the museum and attend cultural programs if available.

Day 4

Pangong Lake

Take a day trip to Pangong Lake, a mesmerizing high-altitude lake. Enjoy the stunning landscapes and the changing colors of the lake. You can visit the famous 3 Idiots movie shooting point on the way.

Day 5

Nubra Valley

Morning: Drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass Visit Khardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable passes in the world. Afternoon: Diskit Monastery Explore Diskit Monastery and enjoy panoramic views of the Nubra Valley. Evening: Hunder Sand Dunes Visit the Hunder Sand Dunes and take a camel safari.

Day 6

Return to Leh

Drive back to Leh from Nubra Valley.

Day 7

Local Experience

Spend the day exploring local villages, meeting locals, and experiencing Ladakhi culture. Visit any monasteries or places you may have missed.

Day 8

Departure

Depart from Leh with fond memories of Ladakh. Note: The itinerary can be adjusted based on the time available and individual preferences. Keep in mind that acclimatization is crucial due to the high altitude, so take it easy, stay hydrated, and consult with locals or a travel expert for any changes. Road conditions and weather may also impact the schedule, so flexibility is key.
