Overview
The Chopta-Chandrashila-Tungnath Trek is a temple of Mahadev built on the highest peak in the world. Whose height are 3,690 meters. Chandrashila Peak is just behind Tungnath Temple. Tungnath Temple is considered to be one of the Panch Kedar temples. After reaching Tungnath temple there is a 1km trek to Chandrashila Chopta peak which is a bit difficult. In the Chopta Chandrashila Tungnath trek, you see many beautiful Bugyals and peaks. Which is like this. Nanda Devi, Trisul, Kedar Peak, Bandarpoonch, and Chaukhamba Peak. The Chopta is around 7 hours (243 km) from Dehradun. It is 6 hours (205 km) journey from Rishikesh. While passing through Badrinath Road, we get to see the panoramic view. The name of that place is the confluence of the gods in Devprayag. There is a confluence of two rivers here. Which we know by the name of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi. Later I came to be known as Gang River. From The Devprayag we will go along the Alaknanda river to Srinagar road where we will find Dhari Devi temple a little further. Which is very famous. The distance between Chopta Tungnath from Devprayag is close to 88 km. Rudraprayag is one of the Panch Prayag of Alaknanda River, the point of confluence of rivers Alaknanda and Mandakini. Kedarnath is just 50 km from Rudraprayag. While passing through the beautiful mountains, we also get to see the beautiful scene of Agastyamuni. Moving forward, we see two ways. Out of which, one way goes to Guptkashi and the other way goes to Ukhimath. So we are going to Ukhimath. From here we can see Chadrashila peak. Chopta is just a 1 hour (29km) drive from Ukhimath and in between, we also have Deoria Tal Trek. The trek point from Chopta is about 5 km away. While passing through here, it seemed as if the views were there. As if you have come to heaven.
